Chronic Trauma Syndrome

The trauma of repeated electroshock strengthens depressive symptoms (fatigue, insomnia). You can observe Chronic Trauma Syndrome (aka Complex PTSD) unfold in almost real time; check in with  Alycia on occasion. Alycia prefers electroshock and  blogs about it.

  • On March 8 Alycia began to wonder if the electroshock was not working.
  • Her 3/21/16 strategy is to increase amphetamine use. What could possibly go wrong?
  • As of April 6 electroshock seems less effective; depression remains, fatigue increasing (confirms what she suspected on March 8). The electroshock is working in the only way it can, trauma recurs with each shock. Alycia is not being helped, merely punished.
